Our Oliver Drama

As part of our Victorian topic we have been learning about what it was like for children during that time.  To do this we have been reading the famous story Oliver.  We learnt about orphans and how they were sent to the workhouse. We have written our own recounts of the story and performed lots of drama to help us understand the story.  Here are some videos of our drama, we hope you enjoy them.

 

 

 

Victorian Timeline

At the beginning of our topic on Victorians we had to find out where on the timeline the Victorians were placed, to do this we took our big timeline into the hall and worked out where events in History appear on it. We did this using things we already knew from our previous history topics and research we had done for homework. We found out about Queen Victoria and events that happened during her reign.

 

 

 

 

 

We then made our own timelines of events that happened in Victorian times.
